The key decision to establish HelloPayments was primarily in response to the need to bring transparency and advocacy to the cluttered and oftentimes deceptive practices that were rampant in the payment processing industry. These short-sighted practices led to widespread criticism of the industry, which was something our founders wanted to address by providing forthright services.
Through our company, we are continually striving to add value for the people who rely on our services and for payment processing needs. HelloPayments is led by Matthew Hamann, who is a 10-year veteran of the payments industry. Over the course of his career in payments, Hamann found that most clients were not very well informed about the structure of the industry and the true cost or opportunity cost associated with it.
In 2016, he decided to focus on investing in solutions that would help merchants with their payment needs from an advocacy position. With the knowledge, expertise and contacts he gained in his 10 years in the industry, he is well positioned to assist merchants and sales partners to reach their goals while increasing openness around payment processing as a service. The majority of our business comes out of referrals from satisfied merchants and developing sales channels with strategic partners.
